A Nishapur Bowl with an armed figure, Eastern Persia, 10th century
Of deep round form with a slightly everted rim, on a short foot, painted in black slip and yellow and green under a transparent glaze, featuring a figure running with a dagger in one hand and shield in the other, the exterior with alternating green and yellow stylised palms.

Inscriptions: In Kufic, possibly: baraka 'Blessing'
